Have an urgent question?

During your trip, you’ll receive a specific emergency number from the local tour leader. In addition, you can call our main office line from Monday to Friday between 10 AM and 5 PM. Please note, however, that you won’t reach your personal travel expert on this number. For that, we ask you to send us a message (see above) or schedule a call.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need vaccinations for my trip to Tanzania?
The vaccination against Yellow Fever is highly recommended (and is mandatory if you're traveling through certain countries). Additionally, doctors often recommend vaccinations for Hepatitis A, typhoid, and sometimes an extra dose of polio. Make sure to schedule a travel consultation with your doctor or a travel clinic in advance for personalized advice.
How old do I need to be to drive in Tanzania?
For this trip, you must be at least 20 years old and have held a driver's license for at least 2 years. An international driver's license is required. You can easily apply for one at your local municipality for a small fee, which varies by country or municipality.
What documents do I need to travel to Tanzania?
  • An international passport that is valid for at least 6 months after your return.
  • A visa for Tanzania (easy to apply for online – we'll send you the right info after your booking).
  • Proof of vaccination against Yellow Fever (mandatory upon arrival from a risk country).
  • An international driving permit is required to drive in Tanzania (your national driver's license is not sufficient).
Can I customize the trip to my own preferences?
The Tanzania Nomads road trip is a well-planned concept, where we take care of the optimal route, accommodations, and logistics. You can of course extend your trip on your own initiative – for example, by spending extra days in Arusha or Zanzibar after your road trip.
