Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any vaccinations for my trip to Tanzania?

For your trip to Tanzania, no vaccinations are required if you fly directly from Belgium or the Netherlands. Are you traveling via a country where yellow fever occurs, such as Kenya, and staying there for more than 12 hours during a layover? Then a yellow fever vaccination may be required.

These vaccinations are recommended:

  • Hepatitis A
  • Tetanus (and other routine vaccinations)
  • Polio (one-time booster)

Schedule a travel consultation with your GP or a travel clinic well in advance for personalized advice, including protection against malaria.

What documents do I need to travel to Tanzania?

You need a valid international passport. When applying for a visa, your passport must still be valid for at least six months and have at least one blank visa page. Also check which visa requirements apply to your nationality. If you need a visa, you can apply through the official Tanzanian eVisa website. We’ll send you more practical information after you book.

Can I tailor the trip to my own preferences?

The Tanzania Nomads road trip is a carefully planned experience, with the ideal route, accommodation and logistics all taken care of.

Of course, you can extend your trip independently, for example by spending a few extra days in Arusha or Zanzibar after your road trip.
